The Foundation at MCCC Awards the MCCC Alumni Family Member Scholarship

MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the MCCC Alumni Family Member Scholarship to Jacob Hurley and Katy Wirick. The $2,500 scholarships are to be used for tuition, books, fees and essential supplies.

Hurley, of Erie, is a 2017 graduate of Mason Senior High School and is pursuing an Associate’s degree at MCCC. He is the son of Rachelle and Jason Hurley and brother to Madison and Morgan Hurley.

Wirick, of Petersburg, is a 2017 graduate of Ida High School. She is pursuing an Associate of Science degree at MCCC and her goal is to become a Registered Nurse. She is the daughter of Tom and Kathy Wirick.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be Monroe County resident, an U.S. Citizen, a Monroe County high school graduate, and an immediate relative (child or spouse) of an MCCC graduate or student who earned 24 or more credits at MCCC.

Additionally, a student must maintain full-time enrollment status of 12 credit hours or more. Special consideration will be given to a relative of an MCCC Alumni Association member in good standing.
