The Foundation at MCCC Awards the Bryan W. Smith Memorial Scholarship

MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Bryan W. Smith Memorial Scholarship to Ryan Heiserman and Jacob Portteus. The $675.75 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.

Heiserman, of Monroe, is a 2014 graduate of Dundee High School and is enrolled in the Construction Management Technology Program at MCCC. He is the son of Jeff and Debbie Heiserman.

Portteus, of Temperance, is a 2008 graduate of Bedford High School and is enrolled in the Mechanical Design Technology Program at MCCC.

The scholarship will be awarded to a student who is enrolled in a certificate or degree program in the Applied Science and Engineering Technology Division at MCCC, maintain at least part-time enrollment during the year, preference given to a Bedford High School graduate, Temperance, MI, and a resident of Monroe County, Michigan.
