The Foundation at MCCC Awards the Rose and Dr. Richard Walker Culinary Scholarship

MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Rose and Dr. Richard Walker Culinary Scholarship to Kayla Boyer. The $850 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.

Boyer, of Monroe, is a 2015 graduate of Monroe High School and is currently studying Culinary Skills and Management program at MCCC. She is currently a member of MCCC’s Gay Straight Alliance Club. She is the daughter of Robin Arce and Timothy Boyer.

To be eligible for the scholarship, a student must be enrolled in the Culinary Skills and Management Program, applicants must be seeking a degree to prepare them for a career will be considered, must be enrolled in a minimum of eight contact hours per semester and financial need will be considered in awarding the scholarship.
