MCCC Wins 3 Awards for Excellence in Community College Marketing and Communications

MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College won three District 3 Medallion Awards for excellence in community college communications last week at the joint District 3 and District 5 Conference of the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations in Davenport, Iowa.

MCCC’s awards included a Gold and two Bronzes.  Below is a breakdown of the awards:

  • Gold in the E-Catalog, Schedule, Viewbook, Annual Report category for “Adapting to Changing Needs:  2015-16 MCCC Annual Report to the Community.”
  • Bronze in the Notes/Cards/Invitations category for “Dinner and a Show in the Meyer Invitation.”  This invitation was for an event sponsored by The Foundation at MCCC that featured a concert by pianist Bradley Sowash.
  • Bronze in the Viewbook category for “We are MCCC/Viewbook,” an extensive brochure used for student recruitment.

NCMPR is the only organization of its kind that connects marketing and public relations professionals at community and technical colleges, and its Medallion Awards recognize outstanding achievement in communication, honoring excellence exclusively at two-year colleges.  District 3 includes Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and the Canadian province of Ontario.

The college’s Office of Marketing and Communications developed the award-winning projects.
