The Foundation at MCCC Awards Michael E. Newman Endowed Memorial Scholarship

MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Michael E. Newman Endowed Memorial Scholarship to Mariah Burtscher. The $800 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.

Burtscher of Temperance is a 2013 graduate of Bedford High School. Burtscher is studying pre nursing through Sienna Heights while studying at MCCC. Mariah is the daughter of Mark and Misti Burtscher.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a member of the Monroe County Community Credit Union, have and maintain a 2.8 GPA or higher during the scholarship year, maintain at least part- time enrollment, defined as six contact hours or more per semester and financial need will be considered.
