The Foundation at MCCC Awards the Roof Family Foundation Scholarship

MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Roof Family Scholarship to Jakob Stanard and Katy Wirick. The $3,750 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.

Stanard of Newport is a 2016 graduate of Jefferson High School. Stanard is studying welding technology while attending MCCC. Jakob is the son of Robert and Jeanette Stanard.

Wirick of Petersburg is a 2017 Ida High School Graduate. Wirick is studying nursing while attending MCCC. Katy is the daughter of Kathleen and Thomas Wirick.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must enroll in an occupational program of study with the intent to complete a program study at MCCC and immediately enter the workforce, must be a full-time student defined as twelve (12) billable contact hours or more, must be a Monroe County, Michigan, resident, graduate from a Monroe County, Michigan, high school and must have a GPA 2.8 or higher.
