MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College has awarded the Herb Kehrl Memorial Scholarship to Madison McAreavy. The $250 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books, and fees.
McAreavy of Dundee is a 2018 graduate of Dundee High School. McAreavy will be taking general studies courses while attending MCCC before transferring to a four year university to study political science. Madison is the daughter of Steve and Diane McAreavy.
The Herb Kehrl Memorial Scholarship was established in remembrance of Herb Kehrl. It is awarded to students majoring in political science, history, or education, are enrolled at least a part-time and are a resident of Monroe County, preferably within Michigan’s 56th House of Representatives District.
