MCCC to Host Panel on Pros and Cons of Recreational Marijuana

MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College will host a panel discussion titled “Recreational Marijuana – Pros and Cons” on Oct. 30 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. in the dining room of the Audrey M. Warrick Student Services/Administration Building.

MCCC President Dr. Kojo A. Quartey will serve as moderator.

According to Quartey, as the November election draws nearer, the college’s role as an institution of higher learning is to present a balanced view on issues, one of which is Proposition 1 to legalize recreational marijuana.

The panel discussion is part of the Culture and Current Affairs Speakers Series sponsored by MCCC, which features community members and MCCC faculty, staff, students and alumni with expertise on a variety of cultural, political or social topics of importance and interest at the present time.
