Olga’s Kitchen Hosting Dine to Donate to Honor Former Employee Chelsea Bruck

Olga’s Kitchen Monroe to donate portion of proceeds to the Chelsea Bruck Memorial Scholarship

MONROE, Mich., October 25, 2018—Olga’s Kitchen, an iconic Michigan brand owned and operated by Livonia-based TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), is honoring the memory of former employee, Chelsea Bruck, with a Dine to Donate on Tuesday, October 30 at its Monroe location, benefiting the Chelsea Bruck Memorial Scholarship.

Throughout the day on October 30, Olga’s Kitchen Monroe, located at 2072 N. Telegraph Road, will donate 20 percent of guests’ food sales to the Chelsea Bruck Memorial Scholarship that has been established at Monroe County Community College (MCCC). A positive reminder of Bruck, the scholarship provides financial support to a MCCC student enrolled in the Culinary Skills and Management program.

“Chelsea was a wonderful and driven young woman who worked with Olga’s Kitchen Monroe for four years, leaving a lasting impact on all those that had the pleasure of knowing and working with her,” said Jeff Antonelli, general manager of Olga’s Kitchen Monroe. “Each team member is very much part of our Olga’s Kitchen family, and we remain committed to supporting not only our team, but our local communities as well. We encourage you to join us in keeping Chelsea’s memory alive and giving back to a local student who is pursuing his/her dream of a culinary arts career as Chelsea once had.”

Four years ago, Bruck was tragically killed following a night out with friends. Her story has been told nationally with outlets such as NBC’s Dateline airing an episode on her disappearance, investigation and trial. Since 2014, the community has rallied to honor Bruck’s life, ensuring her legacy continues to leave a positive impact on those in her community.
