MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Herb Kehrl Memorial Scholarship to Paige Hardy. The $250 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books, and fees.
Hardy of Monroe is a 2019 graduate of Monroe High School. She will be studying early childhood education at MCCC. Hardy was a volunteer for the Monroe County Library System working with young children teaching them and allowing them to explore different sensory activities that are essential for childhood development. She is the daughter of Michael and Jodi Hardy.
The Herb Kehrl Memorial Scholarship was established in remembrance of Herb Kehrl. It is awarded to students majoring in political science, history, or education, are enrolled at least a part-time and are a resident of Monroe County, preferably within Michigan’s 56th House of Representatives District.
