Monroe County Community College will host an events series in November in honor of Native American History Month.
Below is the schedule of events. All are free and open to the public.
Wednesday, Nov. 6. Panel Discussion: “The First Journey toward Understanding – The Importance of Telling the Untold Stories.” 6-7 p.m.., La-Z-Boy Center Atrium.
Tuesday, Nov. 26. Presentation: “Thanksgiving, the True Story - Everything You Didn’t Know about Thanksgiving; an Alternative View of the Pilgrim’s Story” by Edmund La Clair, assistant professor of history. 6-7:30 p.m., La-Z-Boy Center Atrium.
Throughout November: Displays. All month, there will be “Notable Native Americans” displays in the Audrey M. Warrick Student Services Administration Building in the main hallway across from Cuisine 1300 Restaurant and in the glass case across from the Human Resources Office
