The Foundation At MCCC Awards The Monroe Aging Consortium Health Sciences Scholarship

MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded Monroe Aging Consortium Health Sciences Scholarship to Madison Gutierrez and Bailey Ridner. Each $500 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, supplies and books.

Gutierrez of Monroe is a 2017 graduate of Jefferson High School. She is currently in the respiratory therapy program at MCCC. Gutierrez is the vice president of the RT Club. She is the daughter of Sarah and James Jackson and Brian and Katey Gutierrez.

Ridner of Ida is a 2015 graduate of Ida High School. She is studying nursing at MCCC and is a member of the Student Nurses Association at MCCC. Ridner is the daughter of Scott and Kris Ridner.

To be eligible for this scholarship, the student must be pursuing a health sciences certificate of degree, a resident of the state of Michigan and have a 2.5 grade point average, with the highest preference given to a student with a demonstrated financial need.
