The Foundation At MCCC Awards The Namaste Day Scholarship

MONROE, Mich. – The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Namaste Day Scholarship to Lauren Pier. The $500 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.

Pier of Carleton is a 2016 graduate of Airport High School. She plans to study nursing while at MCCC. She volunteers at Habitat for Humanity and a local food pantry. Lauren is the daughter of Todd and Ginger Pier.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must express interest in and have a strong history of community service, be at least a part-time student, defined as six billable contact hours per semester at MCCC, and agree to speak at the Namaste Day event held on the MCCC campus.
