DOOBIE BROTHERS TRIBUTE BAND TO PERFORM AT MCCC'S LA-Z-BOY CENTER

CANCELLED

MONROE, Mich. – The Doobie Others, comprised of seven of Long Island, NY’s top professional musicians, will recreate the sound and style of the world-famous Doobie Brothers on Saturday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Monroe County Community College’s La-Z-Boy Center, Meyer Theater.

The La-Z-Boy Center is located on MCCC’s Main Campus at 1555 S. Raisinville Rd. in Monroe.

The Doobie Others deliver powerful harmonies and a fun-filled, high-energy performance covering a catalog of Doobies’ hits spanning both the Tom Johnston and Michael McDonald eras, including “Listen to the Music,” “What a Fool Believes,” “Long Train Running,” “Minute-by-Minute,” “Black Water,” “Takin’ it to the Streets” and more.

The actual Doobie Brothers band was assembled in 1969 in Northern California, but the band did not rise to fame until 1972 after the release of its second record, “Toulouse Street,” which became a breakout sensation.

Tickets are $27 for reserved seating and can be purchased online at www.monroeccc.edu/theater or via phone by calling (734) 384-4272.  VIP/balcony seating is sold out.  Tickets can also be purchased in person at the MCCC Cashier’s Office in the Warrick Student Services/Administration Building.
