MCCC ALUMNI ASSOCIATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS WELCOMES TWO NEW MEMBERS

The Monroe County Community College Alumni Association Board of Directors welcomed two new members at its recent meeting, Joel Spotts and John Kuriwchak.

Spotts, who graduated from MCCC in 2018 with an associate of science degree, currently attends the University of Toledo with plans to obtain a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in December 2020.

A resident of Temperance, Spotts is also a member of the Knights of Columbus, MCCC Alumni Association, and currently serves as executive vice president of the Financial Management Association at the University of Toledo, a position he has held since 2019. “I am very excited to work with my fellow alumni to continue promoting and improving MCCC,” Spotts said.

Kuriwchak, who graduated from MCCC with an associate of science degree in computer science in 1988 and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Siena Heights University in 1999, currently works for Wolverine Packing Company in Detroit.

A Monroe resident, Kuriwchak is also a member of IBM Common and previously served on the MCCC Alumni Association Board of Directors. “I’m looking forward to giving back to MCCC” Kuriwchak said.

The Alumni Association Board of Directors at MCCC works cohesively alongside the MCCC Board of Trustees, The Foundation at MCCC, and MCCC staff as well as students and the community to maintain and carry out the mission, vision, values and objectives at MCCC.
