MCCC CANDIDATE EVENTS SCHEDULED; ORGANIZERS SEEK QUESTIONS FROM COMMUNITY FOR Q&A FORUMS

Monroe County Community College, in keeping with its tradition of helping to educate the region, is hosting a Meet the Candidates forum Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 and a series of Q&A forums Oct. 14-16. Please see the schedules below for when the candidates are set to appear.

The Meet the Candidates forums are scheduled for 6 p.m. each night. The forums will take place over the Zoom video conferencing service. Please find the Zoom links at the bottom of this news release. The candidates will have 5 minutes each to introduce themselves and briefly discuss what they hope to accomplish if elected.

The Q&A forums are spread over three days, with each one beginning at 6 p.m. via Zoom. Zoom links are at the bottom of this news release. The MCCC Vote 2020 Committee compiled a list of questions for each race and will allow the candidates time for rebuttals. However, the committee is seeking the media’s help in soliciting questions from the community prior to the start of the Q&A forums. Community members can also ask questions in the Zoom comments, but priority will be given to the committee’s questions and community questions submitted in advance via email to mbird-meyer@monroeccc.edu.
