REGISTERED NURSING PROGRAM APPLICATION DATE MOVED TO JULY 6; TWO ATI TEAS TESTING DATES CANCELLED

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Monroe County Community College has moved back the application deadline for the Registered Nursing program by slightly more than a month and cancelled two of four upcoming ATI TEAS, or Test of Essential Academic Skills, dates on campus.

The Registered Nursing program application deadline will now be July 6.  It was originally June 1.

ATI TEAS testing to assess preparedness for entering the health science fields that was scheduled for May 8 and May 15 is cancelled. Students scheduled to test on those days are encouraged to contact ATI Client Care at (800) 667-7531 to reschedule or request a refund.  All students who signed up were notified via e-mail.

MCCC still has ATI TEAS testing dates scheduled on May 21 and 28.  Dr. Kim Lindquist, dean of the Health Sciences Division and director of nursing, said that the college is hopeful it can offer these as scheduled; however, students will be notified if plans change.

These changes were necessary because of scheduling issues related to the governor’s stay-at-home order and the continued need for social distancing, Lindquist said.

Notices and updates about MCCC’s response to COVID-19 are being conveyed via the college website at www.monroeccc.edu/coronavirus. Official updates are also being shared via social media and other means. MCCC students should continue to monitor their MCCC email and the college website regularly for coronavirus updates.
