Math Boot Camp Prep Class starts Nov. 7

Monroe County Community College will host a free, non-credit Math Boot Camp November 7 - December 7, 2022, to lessen anxiety about math before the kickoff of the Winter 2023 semester that begins January 6. The Math Boot Camp is open to current and future MCCC students and community members who want to improve their math skills.

Participants can choose from a mid-day session or an evening session. The four-week long Math Boot Camp sessions will meet on Monday - Wednesday  from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. in Room L-111 or from 6 - 7:30 p.m. in Room L-204 in the Life Sciences Building on MCCC's Main Campus, 1555 S. Raisinville Road in Monroe, MI. Math Boot Camp is free, but participants must be registered in advance.

The Math Boot Camp boot camp will cover basic arithmetic such as working with whole numbers and integers, fractions, decimals, and percentages. Learning will be further enhanced through meaningful real-world application and problem solving. These applications hopefully will be fun and relatable to real life situations and uses.

Pre-registration with the Office of Lifelong Learning is required by calling 734-384-4127 or by visiting the Office of Lifelong Learning, Room Z-286 in the La-Z-Boy Center on MCCC's Main Campus during normal business hours.
