The Monroe County Community College Alumni Association will host its 27th Annual Scholarship Golf Outing Friday, September 9, 2022, at Carrington Golf Club, 911 St. James Park Ave, Monroe. The MCCCAA leadership is currently seeking sponsors, as well as players, for this important fundraising event. Proceeds from the golf outing support the association’s scholarships each year, including the multiple $2,500 MCCC Alumni Family Member Scholarships and $1,000 MCCC Alumni Scholarships.
“We are very excited to already have our $1,000 VIP Event Sponsor secured with Ben Starr of the Starr Insurance Agency Farm Bureau Insurance of Monroe,” said Tom Ryder, events and student activities coordinator for MCCC. “While there is only one VIP Event Sponsorship opportunity each year, there are still plenty more sponsorship opportunities available.”
The sponsorships still available range from $50-$750 including the Specialty Hole Sponsors, Hole Sponsors, Table Sponsors and the Golf Ball Sponsor.
There are several $300 Specialty Hole Sponsor opportunities that include special signage at the tee, donor name printed on the event program placemats and also includes sponsor name announced during the awards presentation.
“The Golf Ball Sponsorship is another great opportunity for donors. The $500 donation includes donor logo or name printed on the golf balls used during the event and recognition on the event program placemat,” said Ryder.
Several other smaller, but just as important sponsorship opportunities are also available. The $200 Hole Sponsorships include signage at a tee and recognition on the event program placemat. Table Sponsorships include signage on a table for the lunch and awards presentation for each $50 donation.
Foursomes for the event are $360 and include greens fees, golf cart, lunch and qualify golfers for a variety of prizes that will be announced during the awards presentation.
As a result of the golf outing, the Alumni Association Scholarship has been awarded to over 100 students since 1996. With the addition of the Alumni Family Scholarship ten years later in 2006, another 30 students have received scholarships.
