MCCC TO HOST FREE MATH BOOT CAMP IN JULY FREE TO CURRENT & FUTURE STUDENTS AND THE COMMUNITY

MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College will host a free, non-credit Math Boot Camp this summer to lessen anxiety about math before the kickoff of the fall semester. The Math Boot Camp is open to current and future MCCC students and community members who want to improve their math skills.

The three-and-a-half-week long Math Boot Camp sessions will meet on Monday - Thursday evenings from 6 - 7:25 p.m. beginning Wednesday, July 6, 2022. The final Math Boot Camp session will be held Thursday, July 28, 2022.

The Math Boot Camp boot camp will cover basic arithmetic such as working with whole numbers and integers, fractions, decimals, and percentages. Learning will be further enhanced through meaningful real-world application and problem solving. The lessons and activities will be fun and relatable to real life situations and uses. 

Pre-registration with the Office of Lifelong Learning is required by calling 734-384-4127. The sessions will be held in Room L-145 in the Life Sciences Building on the MCCC's Main Campus, 1555 S. Raisinville Road in Monroe, MI.
