DIVERSITY EVENTS AT MCCC FOR FEBRUARY 2023 IN RECOGNITION OF BLACK HISTORY MONTH

Students, faculty, staff and the community are welcome and encouraged to participate in Monroe County Community College's annual Black History Month celebrations. All of the events are free and and open to the public. 

A presentation by author David Ingall on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, will focus on African American Civil War Soldiers from Monroe and Lenawee counties. Ingall is the author of "Civil War Landmarks" and  other publications. The presentation will be held at 6 p.m. in the Atrium of the La-Z-Boy Center on the college's main campus, 1555 S. Raisinville Road, Monroe, MI. 

Dawn Wiley will perform a variety of unique poetry and music selections twice this month on Thursdays, February 9 and 23, 2023, at 11 a.m. Entitled "Dawn's Hope," the performances will be held in the Dining Room of the Warrick Student Center on MCCC's main campus, 1555 S. Raisinville Road, Monroe, MI.
