THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE EDUCATION PLUS CREDIT UNION SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Education Plus Credit Union Scholarship to Emerson Bergmooser. The $1,150 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.

Bergmooser photoBergmooser, of Monroe, is a 2023 St. Mary Catholic Central High School graduate. She plans to earn an associate of science degree at MCCC in pursuit of a career in special education. While attending SMCC, she was a peer mentor with the schools St. Andre Bessette Open Doors Inclusion program working with her fellow students, volunteered for the school’s Christian service trip to Guatemala, as a Leader in Training for the YMCA and is a leader in the Christian Young Adults group. Emerson is the daughter of Mark Bergmooser and Amanda Collins.

To be eligible for this scholarship, the recipient must be a member of the Directions Credit Union, must maintain part-time enrollment status, defined as six credit hours or more, and may be either a first- or second-year student.
