THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE PEARL K. QUERMBACH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Pearl K. Quermbach Memorial Scholarship to Victoria Vanderbush. The $1,150 scholarship is to be used for tuition and fees.

Vanderbush photoVanderbush, of Carleton, is a 2023 graduate of Airport High School.  She is studying nursing while attending MCCC. While a student at AHS, Victoria participated in a vocational nursing program at Grosse Ile High School, Grosse Ile, MI, and was a member of Health Occupation Students of America, where she and her team members developed and presented an education program on the negative effects of vaping, nicotine and tobacco for seventh grade students. She was also active in the AHS Interact Club program, as historian for the National Technical Honor Society with the Downriver Career Technical Center, Autism Acceptance, Outdoor Challenge, 4H and volunteering with her church. Victoria is the daughter of Ryan and Stacy Vanderbush.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must demonstrate financial need.
