The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Richard and Marjorie Sieb Scholarship to Jessica Gallegos-Gallegos. The $1,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Gallegos-Gallegos, of Monroe, is a 2023 graduate of Monroe High School. She is pursuing an associate of science degree at MCCC, with plans to pursue a bachelor’s degree at a four-year university to become a clinical psychologist. While in high school, Jessica was actively involved with Interact Club, including serving as treasurer. She is the daughter of Marina and Mauro Gallegos-Gallegos.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a Monroe County, Michigan, resident, a United States citizen and maintain at least part-time enrollment status of six credit hours or more. In addition, the donor prefers to assist a student returning to school after a period of other activities and who demonstrates financial need.
