THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE DANNIELLE LAMBERT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Dannielle Lambert Memorial Scholarship to Kaeleigh Atkinson. The $800 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.

Atkins, of Monroe, is a 2022 graduate of Monroe High School. She is currently working towards an associate of science degree at MCCC then transferring to a four-year university to earn her bachelor’s degree in biology or conservation. She has volunteered at the annual River Raisin clean up. Kaeleigh is the daughter of James Atkinson and Christine Melissa Atkinson Sperr.

To be eligible for this scholarship a student must have participated in the MCCC Upward Bound program at MCCC, be a Monroe County, MI, resident and be enrolled at least part-time.  Preference will be given to a Monroe High School graduate, Monroe, MI. 

Applications for scholarships awarded by The Foundation for the 2024 – 25 academic year are now being accepted. The online scholarship application is available at www.monroeccc.edu/scholarships. Returning and prospective students are encouraged to apply now for over 200 available scholarships for the upcoming academic year. Students have until March 1, 2024, to complete their scholarship application; however, it is recommended that students apply as soon as possible. Not all scholarships are need-based or require a high grade point average or full-time status. Many are program specific and are available in all traditional and technical career training programs.
