THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE MIEDEN FARMS AGRICULTURE SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Mieden Farms Agriculture Scholarship to Kaitlyn Alcock. The $1,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.

Alcock, of Adrian, is a 2023 graduate of Sand Creek High School. She is currently studying agriculture business while attending MCCC. She is a volunteer with her church’s I-92 ministries.  She is the daughter of Jennifer Alcock and Kory Alcock.

To be eligible for this scholarship a student must be pursuing a degree in the agriculture program at MCCC, must be at least a part time student, and demonstrate financial need.

Applications for scholarships awarded by The Foundation for the 2024 – 25 academic year are now being accepted. The online scholarship application is available at www.monroeccc.edu/scholarships. Returning and prospective students are encouraged to apply now for over 200 available scholarships for the upcoming academic year. Students have until March 1, 2024, to complete their scholarship application; however, it is recommended that students apply as soon as possible. Not all scholarships are need-based or require a high grade point average or full-time status. Many are program specific and are available in all traditional and technical career training programs.
