The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Dr. Florence Ames Fine Art Scholarship to Audrey Kecskes and Malaia Merillat. Each $1,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.
Kecskes, of Carleton, is a 2023 Airport High School graduate. She is currently enrolled in the Fine Arts program at MCCC and this is the second time she has been awarded this scholarship. Audrey is the daughter of Jennifer and Donald Kecskes, Jr.
Merillat, of Monroe, is a 2000 graduate of Adrian High School. She is currently enrolled in the Fine Arts program at MCCC and is a member of the Student Art Club. She is the mother of son, Zayn LaHart.
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicant must be a full-time, second year student with a concentration in art and have a minimum of a 3.0 grade point average.
