The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the President Emeritus Dr. Ronald Campbell and Blondelle Campbell Scholarship to Gage Blaisdell. The $1,650 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.
Blaisdell, of Monroe, obtained his GED. He is currently in the paralegal program at MCCC and is an active member of Gay Straight Alliance and Student Government. Gage was raised by his late grandmother, Tyler Ressler.
To be eligible the student must be a resident of Monroe County, Michigan, demonstrate academic excellence, and maintain at least a part-time enrollment at MCCC. Preference will be given to a student who is an active member of the MCCC Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and demonstrates financial need.
