The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the AAUW Wyandotte Downriver Foundation Scholarship to Destiny Cox. The $625 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Cox, of Flat Rock, is a 2013 graduate of Monroe High School. She is pursuing a degree in nursing while attending MCCC, is a member of the Student Nurses Association and was chosen to be a student representative for her nursing class. Destiny is the daughter of Vincent Cox and Katherine Cox.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a permanent resident of a Downriver, Michigan community, must have earned a minimum of 12 college credits and be enrolled as a full-time student.
