THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE GUIRE SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Guire Scholarship to Chelsea Albain and Ella Mansfield. Each $1,350 scholarship is to be used for tuition.

Albain, of Deerfield, is a 2025 graduate of Summerfield High School.  She will be studying business and accounting while attending MCCC. While at SHS, Chelsea was involved in SPLT and Leadership Educating and Advocating for Peers helping students understand the risks of drugs and additions.  She is daughter of Dena Albain and Timothy Albain.

Mansfield, of Monroe, is a 2024 Jefferson High School graduate.  She is in the welding technology program at MCCC.  Ella is the daughter of Charles and Rebecca Mansfield.

The Guire scholarship was established by the Iva Mennig Trust to assist with tuition payment for students majoring in math or science who have financial need and have shown academic excellence.
