The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Hallie H. Billmire Scholarship to Courtney Tyrrell. The $1,750 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books, supplies and other education expenses.
Tyrrell, of Dundee, is a 2019 graduate of Dundee High School. She is currently studying in MCCC’s concurrent nursing with Eastern Michigan University, working toward her Registered Nursing degree as well as a Bachelor of Science degree from EMU. She actively involved in MCCC’s Student Nurses Association and participates in activities to benefit Children’s Hospital of Michigan, area homeless shelters and Monroe County Humane Society, among others. Courtney is the daughter of Lana Tyrrell and Mike Tyrrell.
