THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE JOHN & VIOLET MUELLER SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the John and Violet Mueller Scholarship to Alexa Lay and Amanda Nadolny.  Each $1,900 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.

Lay, of La Salle, is a 2023 Mason Senior High School graduate. She is studying nursing while attending MCCC and is the treasurer of the Student Nurses Association.  Alexa is the daughter of Gerald Lay and Christa Lay.

Nadolny, of Erie, is a 2023 graduate of MSHS. She is studying nursing while attending MCCC and is a member of the Student Nurses Association.  She is a volunteer at her local food pantry. Amanda is the daughter of Tim Nadolny and Amy Nadolny.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a graduate of Jefferson High School and a resident of Monroe County, Mich. In addition, students must maintain at least part-time enrollment of six credit hours or more, and must have and maintain a grade point average of 2.5 or higher during their scholarship year.
