THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE KIRWEN AND KARAU SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Kirwen and Karau Scholarship to Jaden Paquette. The $1,750 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.

Paquette, of Monroe is a 2024 graduate of St. Mary Catholic Central High School. He is studying in the business transfer program at MCCC.  

Prior to attending MCCC, he was enrolled at another college where he was an active member of the honor society, something he plans to purse at MCCC as well. As a student at SMCC he was co-captain of the baseball team, has volunteered with God Works! Soup Kitchen and the Learning Bank as a teaching assistant with the English as a Second Language program. Jaden is the son of Vincent Paquette.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be planning to transfer to a college or university to pursue a bachelor’s degree, be a graduate of a high school in Monroe County, Michigan, must show high academic achievement and must maintain full-time enrollment status of at least 12 credit hours.
