The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Lynette LaVigne Dowler Scholarship to Jacob VanBuskirk. The $1,100 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books, fees, books and supplies.
VanBuskirk, of Carleton, is a 2023 graduate of Airport High School. He is studying criminal justice while attending MCCC. He is currently involved with the Airport high school and middle school wrestling clubs. Jacob is the son of David VanBuskirk and Yvonne VanBuskirk.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a graduate of Airport High School in Carleton, MI, with preference given to a student who resides in Berlin Township, demonstrate financial need and must be enrolled at least part-time.
