THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE MCCC ALUMNI FAMILY MEMBER SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the MCCC Alumni Family Member Scholarship to Joseph Fletcher. The $1,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books, fees and essential supplies.

Fletcher, of Monroe, is a 2015 graduate of Garden City High School.  He is studying electrical engineering technology at MCCC to become an industrial electrician thru Ford Motor Company.  Joseph speaks Japanese helping and interacting with coworkers that speak the language.  His most recent community involvement has been with Canton Young Marines helping at the VFW cleaning and decorating cemeteries and helping with fundraisers.  Joseph is the son of Joseph Fletcher, Virginia Fletcher and husband to Madeline Thomas-Fletcher.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a Monroe County resident, a U.S. citizen, a Monroe County high school graduate, and an immediate relative (child or spouse) of an MCCC graduate or student who earned 24 or more credits at MCCC. Additionally, a student must maintain full-time enrollment status of 12 credit hours or more. Special consideration will be given to a relative of an MCCC Alumni Association member in good standing.
