The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Monroe Aging Consortium Health Sciences Scholarship to Mackenzie Haines and Julia Neubauer. Each $1,250 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, supplies and books.
Haines, of Monroe, is a 2023 graduate of Dundee High School. She is currently in the nursing program at MCCC. She volunteers in her community in ways to make it better improving the environment and recycling. Mackenzie is the daughter of Keri and Christian Haines.
Neubauer, of Monroe, is a 2021 graduate of Jefferson High School. She is currently in the nursing program at MCCC and is a member of the Student Nurses Association. Julia is the daughter of Tanya and Dan Neubauer.
To be eligible for this scholarship, the student must be pursuing a health sciences certificate or degree, a resident of the state of Michigan and have a 2.5 grade point average, with the highest preference given to a student with a demonstrated financial need.
