The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Noel H. and Elizabeth R. Dentner Scholarship to Eli Vanhuysen. The $2,000 scholarship can be used for tuition and fees.
Vanhuysen, of Dundee, is a 2025 graduate of Summerfield High School. He is pursuing a degree in Construction Management Technology at MCCC. While attending SHS, he was a member of the National Honor Society and varsity golf team. Eli is an active member of the Dundee United Methodist Church Youth Group where he participates in community activities. Eli is the son of Sue Vanhuysen and Brett Vanhuysen.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a graduate from Summerfield High School, Petersburg, MI, have a 2.75 grade point average or higher, must maintain full-time enrollment and be a resident of Monroe County, Michigan.
