THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE UPWARD BOUND SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Upward Bound Scholarship to Jasmine Holzschuh, Vincent Meyer and Hanna Reed. Each $500 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.

Holzschuh of Monroe, is a 2025 Monroe High School graduate.  She is studying paralegal and journalism while attending MCCC.  While at MHS, she participated in Upward Bound.  She is the daughter of Rhonda Holzschuh and Jeremy Richardson.

Meyer, of Newport, is a 2025 Jefferson High School graduate. He will be pursuing a career in the Electrical Engineering Program at MCCC. While attending JHS, Vincent was a member of the Gaming Club and JHS Trap Shooting Team.  He participated in the Upward Bound program and was involved with the Special Olympics with the Peers Empowering and Embracing Peers Club. Vincent is the son of Erica Meyer and Charles Meyer.

Reed, of Newport, is a 2025 graduate of Airport High School. She is pursuing a career in social work while attending MCCC. While attending AHS, Hanna was a member of SPLIT, Pilot, the Interact Club and participated in the Upward Bound program.  She is the daughter of Nichole Courtade.   

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a first-generation college student or meet income eligibility guidelines.
