MONROE, Mich. – Next month, Monroe County Community College's Vote 2026 Committee will host public forums for candidates seeking local school board and state offices in the November general election.
There will be three forums, all of which will be held at MCCC's La-Z-Boy Center, Meyer Theater. The college is located at 1115 S. Raisinville Rd., Monroe.
The forum details are below:
Board Candidates for Monroe Public Schools and MCCC
Date: September 16
5:30-7:30 p.m.
Board Candidates for Surrounding Monroe County Schools
Date: September 17
5:30-7:30 p.m.
Candidates Runing for State Offices
Date: October 7
5:30-7:30 p.m.
Candidates will have two minutes to introduce themselves, followed by a question-and-answer period led by the moderators with the potential for the moderators to ask questions submitted by the audience.
MCCC will also provide the candidates with an opportunity to set up an information table in the atrium of the La-Z-Boy Center, if they so choose.
