The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Deborah L. Beagle Memorial Accounting Scholarship to Jaclyn Merrick. The $1,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Merrick, of Monroe, is a 2010 graduate of Center Line High School, Center Line, MI. She is studying nursing while attending MCCC. She fosters puppies through Save Monroe Strays. Merrick is the daughter of Laura and William Merrick, spouse to Zachary Cruz and the mother of Marley, Matthew and Mason.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a non-traditional student pursuing a degree in accounting, be at least a three-quarter-time student at MCCC and have a 2.5 grade point average or higher.
