THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS CHAPTER 137 SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation Monroe County Community College has awarded the D.A.V. Chapter 137 Scholarship to Matthew Beach.  The $500 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.

Beach, of Newport, is a 2026 graduate of Carlson High School, Gibraltar, MI.  He is studying electrical engineering at MCCC and intends to transfer to the University of Toledo. He participates in Mothers Against Drunk Driving walks. Beach is the son of Lisa and Michael Beach.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a resident of Monroe County, MI, and a United States citizen, must be a veteran or the child of a veteran, the veteran must have received an honorable discharge, submit a copy of their DD-214 and have a 2.5 grade point average or higher. Financial need may be considered in awarding the scholarship.
