THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE ETHEL K. (RUSSEAU) FOUNTAIN ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Ethel K. (Russeau) Fountain Endowed Scholarship to Aiden Beck, Katarina Carradine, Randall Fruchey, David Larner, Nicholas Leicht, Robert Priebe III, Grace Sturgeon and Nathan Todd. Each $2,050 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.  

Aiden Beck, of Monroe, is a 2025 graduate of Monroe High School. She continues to take courses at MCCC to pursue a degree in criminal justice. Beck is the daughter of Kayla Beck.

Katarina Carradine, of Monroe, is a 2023 graduate of Monroe High School.  She is studying metrology technology and quality systems technology at MCCC. Carradine is the daughter of Keith and Rhonda Carradine.

Randall Fruchey II, of Monroe, is a 2015 homeschool graduate.  He is studying nuclear engineering technology at MCCC. Fruchey currently works as a senior paramedic. He is the spouse of Claire Fruchey and has a son named Peter.

David Larner, of Erie, is a 2025 Miles Christi High School graduate, South Lyon, MI.  He is working on earning a certificate in the automotive technology program at MCCC.  Larner volunteers at his church as an altar server and sets up for Mass. Larner is the son of David and Melissa Larner.

Nicholas Leicht, of Monroe, is a 2022 Monroe High School graduate.  He is majoring in nuclear engineering technology at MCCC. He is the son of August and Michelle Leicht.

Robert Priebe III, of Monroe, is a 2019 graduate of Lakeview High School, St. Clair Shores, MI.  He is majoring in nuclear engineering technology at MCCC and is a student note taker at the Disability Services Office on campus. He is the son of Robert Prieb and spouse to Madison Paton.

Grace Sturgeon, of Carleton, is a 2024 Flat Rock High School graduate.  She is majoring in electrical engineering technology at MCCC. She is the daughter of Tara Sturgeon.

Nathan Todd, of Newport, is a 2025 Jefferson High School graduate.  He is pursuing a nuclear engineering technology degree at MCCC and will later pursue a master’s degree in chemistry. He is the son of Christina and David Todd.
