The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Eugene and Helen Beach Nursing/Respiratory Therapy scholarship to Savannah Barbee. The $2,200 Winter 2026 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Barbee, of Dundee, is a 2022 graduate of Woodhaven High School. She is pursuing a degree in nursing at MCCC and is a member of the American Nurses Association. She is the daughter of Melissa Barbee and Michael Wells.
To be eligible for this scholarship a student must be a Monroe County resident, a second-year student enrolled in the registered nursing or respiratory therapy program, demonstrates above average clinical and performance, and a high degree of personal and professional integrity.
