THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE JOHN & VIOLET MUELLER SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the John and Violet Mueller Scholarship to Alyssa Masserant and Madison Tammarine.  Each $2,025 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.

Masserant, of Newport, is a 2024 graduate of Jefferson High School. She is in the radiography program while attending MCCC. Masserant assists at a local dance club and enjoys serving her community.  She is the daughter of Christy and Steven Masserant.

Tammarine, of Newport, is a 2022 graduate of Jefferson High School. She is studying respiratory therapy while attending MCCC.  She is a volunteer at her local food pantry and works at a nursing home. Tammarine is the daughter of Stephanie Grove and her stepfather is Jason Workman.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a graduate of Jefferson High School and a resident of Monroe County, Michigan. In addition, students must maintain at least part-time enrollment of six credit hours or more, and must have and maintain a grade point average of 2.5 or higher during their scholarship year.
