The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Marvin and Jean Baumann Family Scholarship to Myshia Gehringer. The $1,750 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Gehringer, of Newport, is a 2022 graduate of Jefferson High School. She is the daughter of Carol and Dennis Gehringer.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be pursuing a degree in an applied technology or health sciences occupational program at MCCC. The scholarship will be awarded to a student who is a resident of Monroe County, Mich., has a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and must be enrolled for a minimum of six credit hours.
