THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE ROY AND BOBBIE TURNER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Roy and Bobbie Turner Memorial Scholarship to Samantha Ledger. The $1,250 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.

Ledger, of Newport, is a 2023 Jefferson High School graduate. She is currently in the registered nursing program at MCCC.  She is a current member of the Student Nurses Association, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and the National Student Nurses Association.  Samantha is the daughter of Mark Ledger and Kristine Ledger.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a Monroe County, MI, resident and a Monroe County firefighter or the child or grandchild of a local (Monroe County) firefighter. Additionally, the student must have a minimum of 2.5 grade point average and must maintain full-time enrollment status of at least 12 credit hours per semester.
