The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the William E. Rupp Scholarship to Ashley Huff and Ariel Stafford. Each $2,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Huff, of Temperance, is a 2011 graduate of Bedford High School. She is in the LPN to RN Nursing Bridge program at MCCC and is a member of the Student Nurses Association. Her husband is Matt Mozena and Jacquelyn Mozena is her daughter.
Stafford, of Monroe, is a 2024 graduate of Lincoln High School, Ypsilanti, MI. She is studying nursing while attending MCCC and is a note taker for MCCC’s disability services. She enjoys volunteering at the humane society and church in her spare time. She is the daughter of Mercedes Rodriguez and Aaron Stafford.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a Monroe County resident, a U.S. Citizen and maintain a full-time enrollment status of 12 credit hours or more. In addition, the student must have a grade point average of 3.4 or above.
