First-time College Students

Welcome! You’ve decided it’s time to take that next step and become a MCCC Husky.

Step 1 - Celebrate your acceptance to Monroe County Community College! If you have not applied to MCCC within the last 12 months. Apply Now!  

Step 2 - Send us your official transcripts and test scores, if applicable.

  • Please request your final official high school transcripts be submitted to the Admissions Office in PDF form at  admissions@monroeccc.edu
  • If applicable, send Advanced Placement (AP) Scores from College Board and/or any Dual Enrollment transcripts from institutions other than MCCC to transcript@monroeccc.edu.

Step 3 - If you need to take the Accuplacer placement test, contact the Testing Center at (734) 384-4255. If you are unsure if you need testing, reach out to admissions@monroeccc.edu or 734-384-4104.

Step 4 - Select a New Student Orientation and Registration date. Register Here     

  • These sessions are only for students who have not attended college before.
  • Dual Enrollment Students with less than 12 credit hours are required to attend New Student Orientation. 
  • If you are a transfer, returning, or a former Dual Enrollment student with more than 12 credit hours, find your next steps here.

Step 5 - Get your financial aid in order.

  • File your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online at StudentAid.gov to determine your eligibility for grants, loans, scholarships and work-study.
  • Monroe’s FAFSA School Code: 002294
  • File soon! It takes a minimum of a few weeks to process financial aid for new students.
