MONROE, Mich. – Monroe County Community College’s Registered Nursing Program was named No. 1 for 2026 by NursingProcess.org.
NursingProcess.org, an independent group of passionate educators and nursing professionals, examined all nursing schools approved by the Michigan State Board of Nursing to determine the best accredited Associate of Nursing program.
The methodology used by NursingProcess.org considered four primary factors, which include:
- Academic quality (acceptance rate, graduation rate, retention rate, student-to-faculty ratio)
- National Council Licensure Exam for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) first-time pass rates (recent 4 years)
- Affordability
- Reputation
MCCC has achieved its rank by maintaining high standards and putting students first, said Christy Chisholm, director of nursing. In 2025, nearly 95 percent of MCCC Registered Nursing students passed the National Council Licensure Exam for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) in the three years leading up to 2025.
