Assessment of Student Learning

In accordance with the institutionís mission to provide educational excellence, transparency, and an evidence-based culture, MCCC engages in student learning assessment. Systematically assessing student learning enables us to determine whether we are achieving our mission of producing skilled, thoughtful citizens, which in turn creates dialogue among faculty and shapes teaching practices. General education (critical thinking, communication, and social and culture awareness) assessment is underway, and program and course-level assessments are being developed to ensure that students possess expected competencies. The Learning Assessment Committee (LAC) is responsible for leading assessment endeavors.
